Entry points
Every channel gets its own door into WhatsApp
A link in your Instagram bio, a QR code on the shop window, a button on the website, a click-to-WhatsApp ad — each one is an entry point Whapier tracks, so you finally know which channel brings customers who talk to you.
What is an entry point?
One door into your WhatsApp number: a channel (website, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, Google Business Profile, email signature, print, paid ads…), a pre-filled first message, and an optional tag that keeps the attribution even if the customer rewrites the text. Each one gives you a short link, a QR code and — if you want it — a website button.
Why a link through :company instead of a plain wa.me link?
Because the link is yours. It goes through Whapier and forwards to WhatsApp, so the number or the message can change after a thousand stickers have been printed, every click is counted, and the conversation that follows is attributed to the door it came through — first touch wins.
How does the website button work?
One script tag, no cookies, no consent banner. Choose the label, the colour and the corner; add an optional greeting card with a custom message; set business hours and an out-of-hours note. Outside the hours the button still opens WhatsApp — it just tells the visitor when to expect an answer.
What about QR codes?
Generated for every entry point, downloadable as PNG for screens and SVG for print. The code encodes the tracked link, so it keeps working when the number changes — a printed menu never goes stale.
Can an entry point do something automatically?
Yes: add the contact to a group and start a flow the moment the first message arrives. A QR code on a table can open a booking flow; a link in a campaign landing page can tag the lead and drip-feed the follow-up.
What do I learn?
Per entry point, over the last 30 days: clicks, conversations, the click-to-conversation rate and the latest customers who came through it. Click-to-WhatsApp ads are attributed from Meta's referral data, and the source shows on the contact and in the inbox panel — so an agent knows the customer scanned the sticker on the door before the first reply.
