WhatsApp campaigns with the cost known before you send
Bulk messaging on the official API is powerful and, since Meta bills per message, expensive to get wrong. Whapier campaigns are built around one idea: you should know exactly what will happen — and what it will cost — before you press send.
How do I send a bulk WhatsApp campaign?
Pick an approved template, choose the audience — all contacts, a group, or a live segment that is re-evaluated the moment the campaign starts — choose which of your WhatsApp numbers sends it, and either send now or schedule it. Header, body and button variables can be filled with fixed values or with any contact field, including your own custom fields, so every recipient gets a personal message. Templates can carry images, documents or video.
What does the pre-flight check tell me?
Before the campaign starts, you see: how many recipients it will reach and how many are unreachable, the estimated Meta cost with a breakdown per destination country, whether the template is approved, and how many days delivery will take at your number's current messaging tier. A 40,000-contact marketing campaign to German numbers costs real money — you should learn that from the pre-flight screen, not from Meta's invoice.
Can I A/B test a campaign?
Yes — a campaign can carry up to three template variants. Recipients are split evenly and deterministically, so the same contact always sees the same variant, and the campaign report shows delivered, failed and read rate per variant so the next send uses the message that actually worked.
What happens to messages that fail?
Every recipient gets a delivery row: sent, delivered, read, or failed — with Meta's failure code translated into plain language. Failed messages can retry automatically at intervals you set, and contacts that still fail can be moved to a group of their own for cleanup. The whole result set exports to CSV.
Will a big campaign get my number banned?
Not if it is sent the way Meta expects. Whapier sends only through the official Cloud API, respects your number's throughput and daily tier limits, and ramps newly connected numbers up gradually — 50, 100, 250, 500 conversations a day and onward — so a day-one blast never torpedoes your quality rating. Contacts who replied STOP are skipped automatically.
Can I create campaigns from my own system?
Yes — POST /api/campaigns creates a campaign with template variables and scheduling, and the campaign-log endpoints report per-recipient results. See the API.
