Contacts & segments

A contact base that lives where the conversations are

Not a separate CRM to keep in sync — the contact, its history and its consent sit next to the conversation, and every list you build is a live audience for campaigns, drip sequences and flows.

How do I get my contacts in?

Import from CSV or Excel with a downloadable sample file; the result tells you what was created, what was a duplicate and what Meta would reject (a number without a country code, for instance). Add your own fields — text, number, date, select, checkbox — mark them required, order them as you like. Contacts also arrive on their own: anyone who writes to your number, clicks an entry point or comes in over the API is created automatically.

What is a segment?

A saved filter that is evaluated every time it is used, so a campaign, a drip sequence or a flow always reaches the contacts that match right now. Up to twenty conditions, matched all or any: group, creation date, favourite, consent, source and entry point, last message from the contact, waiting for a reply, open ticket, campaign received, and every custom field. A live count and sample while you build it; six suggested segments — inactive for 90 days, new this week, waiting for a reply, came through a link or ad, never wrote to us, opted out — install with one click.

What about groups and labels?

Groups are the simple, manual lists — with an optional colour, so they double as labels on the contact and on every inbox row. Assign in bulk, import groups from a file, use them as campaign audiences or as flow and drip triggers.

How is consent handled?

A contact who replies with a stop keyword — STOP, unsubscribe, or any word you add — is marked opted out, receives an optional confirmation, and is skipped by campaigns, drip sequences and segment-triggered flows from then on. A start keyword re-subscribes. Replies inside an open conversation are unaffected, exports carry an "opted out" column, and the whole thing is configured in plain settings: keywords, confirmation text, on or off.

What does a contact's page show?

Everything in one place: details and custom fields, the groups it carries, the segments it is in right now, its source (which entry point or ad), marketing consent with a one-click toggle, internal notes with their author, and a timeline — conversations by day, campaigns delivered or failed, drip sequences entered and completed, flows started, tickets, notes.

Can I work with contacts from my own system?

Yes — full create, read, update and delete on contacts and groups over the REST API, webhooks for contact and group events, and a "contact created" trigger in the flow builder.
